Bella Depilux Hair Free System

I have been contemplating for the LONGEST time on whether I should get my underarm hair permanently removed. I don't know about you but I am really irritated and annoyed with the unsightly and uncomfortable bush underneath. On top of that, the regrowth is at an amazing rate, with super high density, such that the tweezing has to be done weekly. I tell you, tweezing is not an easy task, especially for high density hair. Besides, tweezing is not actually that good for your skin because it pulls out the hair follicles, which will then stay outside of the skin. In the long run, it will create a rough and bumpy surface on your skin, not unlike chicken skin. *eww* I have considered shaving but obviously, shaving is definitely less effective since the regrowth is almost immediate. Then there is waxing, but waxing actually promotes ingrown hair. Also, when you wax more times, you're subjecting your skin to repetitive tension so it will eventually sag!

Then, I came across this popular Bella Depilux Hair Free System. It sounded like a dream come true!
bella

It has no side effects and most importantly, it is permanent.

After debating and thinking for a long time, I finally took the first step to arrange for a free consultation. The manager who attended to me was really nice and patient. We spent more than half an hour talking about how the process works, about past history with the clients, about my own condition and all the 1001 queries that I had!

She reassured me that this method has no side effects and that Bella is the pioneer in hair removal system. We looked at pictures and charts, and then she even showed me her own underarms! I was definitely impressed, because they looked just like any other part of her arms, no rough patches, no dark spots and definitely no chicken skin! :)

Of course, being the salesperson that she is, you would expect her to keep on pushing me to do it. But she was definitely not like that. She was very good in providing all the information required and she could relate to me in a girly type of way. It makes you feel comforted knowing that there are many other girls out there, such as she herself, who think and feel the same way.

In the end, she recommended a package to me, the same one that she underwent herself. The best part about the package they offered is that it is under guarantee! You get a full 5 times treatment and after that, your underarms are actually under a warranty period of 1 year. So within this 1 year, if you are not satisfied with the results or if there are some minor hair regrowth, you could still go back for up to 5 treatments, free of charge. Isn't that great? I think that's the most attractive part of the package. I am sure most people, myself not excluded, would be wary and doubtful before signing up, since the charges are not cheap. But with this warranty, I think everyone should have a peace of mind, knowing that you're in good hands!

I am going to start my treatment soon! :) I will definitely update my progress here from time to time, just to share the results with everyone! :)

Hi, came across your blog while researching for side effects of IPL. I've also recently signed up with Bella for underarm, legs and bikini hair removal. I was wondering if the procedure is safe near bikini line as the area is close to my ovaries. I am still unsure if the heat could actually permeat more than the dermis and cause some degree of damages to ovaries. Though no studies are published as this is a relatively new procedure. Please share with us if you come across any info.

Thanks.

Hi Anna,
Oh you're more adventurous than me, signing up for so many courses! :) Have you had any sessions already? I only had once and it was a little bit painful but very short-lived. I'm amazed that even after one session, the results are pretty long lasting. It has been one month now and my underarms are still very clear with occasional hair or two only. I think I have a very good feeling in this system, and that it will definitely work. :) As for your question, I did ask the manager in charge at that time, and she ensured me that the equipment and light that they used is very well controlled. Hence the wavelength used is also very precise and will not penetrate more than it is supposed to. So far, I have never heard anyone having any side effects from this method, but if you're really worried, you should talk to the manager in charge or you could also speak to a physician. But if you ask me, I am quite confident with it. :) Do share with me your experience as well! :)

Hi, I am thinking of the same treatment for almost one year but never have the courage to step into Bella to enquire. May I know how much u paid for your treatment?

iamthewitch said...

Penguin,
You really shouldn't be shy. The consultation is free of charge and they're very professional. Actually I think the charges differ according to the package you choose (3 times or 5 times). The 3 times package does not have warranty and I'm not sure how much it is. I signed up for the 5 times package, which comes with 1 year warranty after completion. This package used to retail at RM3400. When I signed up, it was on CNY sale, where it was further reduced to RM2799. I'm not sure if it still has this offer but apparently this is the lowest price that it has ever reduced to. The good thing is they offer up to 6-month installments interest free with credit cards. So it comes to about RM400+ per month, which is not that bad. Maybe you can go in and inquire? :)

Thanks for your information. Yah I will try to gather as much courage as I can to go ask more about this soon. Thanks! :)

hi.. =)

so how're ur underarms now?
hairless? spotless? smooth as any part of ur arms?

very curious.. ^__^

iamthewitch said...

hairy: My package is still not completed yet. ;) Only went for 3 times out of 5 times, but currently regrowth is very very slow. Almost 2 months also can't see visible hair. Very huge improvement already. :) Wait til I finish the last 2 courses, then I'll let you know the final effect. :)

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience with Bella's Depilux hair free system. I am keen to try it but am hesitant because I have very sensitive underarms. After epilation or wax, my underarm's skin turns very red. Did you suffer any side effects and did your underarms' skin turn red or irritated after the first treatment at Bella? To achieve optimal results, do we have to go for the 5 treatments continuously or we can do it separately over a few months? Any comments or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

iamthewitch said...

Hi anonymous, I did not suffer from any side effects after my first treatment at Bella. In fact, until now I have completed 4 treatments and there is no side effect observed. Actually, the 5 treatments are meant to be completed in a period of 10 months or so. This is because they want to make sure your hair has grown before doing the next treatment. So there'll always be an interval of 1.5 to 2 months in between each treatment. I suggest you make an appointment with the consultant there to talk about your worries. If they are not confident of doing it, they won't ask you to sign up. :)

Hi! Thanks for the feedback. It's very reassuring to hear that you did not suffer any side effects after the depilux treatment. You mentioned that after the first treatment, the hairs on your underarm are hardly visible, right? So before we go for the next treatment, if any stray hairs grow, is it ok to shave or pluck them while waiting for the next Depilux session?

iamthewitch said...

Anonymous, according to the consultants, it's preferable not to do anything to the stray hairs if you can live with them. Otherwise, if you have functions/dinners, then they recommend to shave them off instead. NEVER pluck the hairs because they will pull our follicles out. :)

Thanks alot for the info. I plan to go for a consultation in the next few weeks, hope it works. Thanks again for sharing your experience. Have a nice weekend!

hai there..just wanna ask..ur mention about the cost around rm 3400 something..it is just for the underarms or all part of ur body..how if i want to do at my legs, underarms and my upperlips? can u told me the cost..i think that i would like to try..

iamthewitch said...

arisa, the RM3.4k is ONLY for underarms (2 sides). It's not for the whole body. Legs would cost much more because of its large area (~7k maybe) and other parts I'm not too sure. I think you'll have to check out from Bella :)

passer-by said...

erm..actually did a boy/man can sign up for this treatment? if i wanna get a hair removal treatment on my face, hand, underarms and leg, roughly how much is this treatment cost? can anyone help me to ask this two questions from the consultion? thx ya~~~

iamthewitch said...

passer-by, I'm not sure about guys, but I guess they're not biased. :) OK, I'll help you ask the consultants in my appointment. ;)

passer-by said...

oo..but a boy/man want to accept this kind of treatment is really quit weird right?haha=) but anyway, thanks for your help ya~remember to ask the two question for me.haha>< you mention before that your treatment fees is currently rm3,400 and is just for your two underarms right? Is that really that expensive? But last week i saw a Bella's permenant hair removal poster at Bansar Village is just only cost rm129. Is that any different with your treatment?very curious^^

hi,

i'm planing to get my permanent hair remover too..
and i was just wondering..whether you paid all the amount at one time or you pay everytime you went for visit???
and can you ask them..if i do more underarms and leg at a time..will i get any discount??
thanks alot ya...
please email me: misz_timah90@hotmail.com

iamthewitch said...

passer-by: I don't think there's any problem with a guy taking the treatment. :) Yea, my fees was RM3.4k for underarms only, but due to CNY promotion, it was RM2.8K. Maybe it might have dropped now. As for the RM129, that's only for 1 trial. The treatment definitely needs at least 3-5 times, so if you have the intention to complete the treatment, better not waste RM129. Use it for the package. :)

love me or hate me: I didn't pay all at one time. I paid using credit card installment, which was divided into 6 months. :) Erm, I'm not sure if they'll give extra discount if you take arms and legs, but usually they don't give discounts, but free gifts. :)

hi
can this hair removal system be used on the face, such as the upper lips?

iamthewitch said...

I'm not very sure but I don't think so as the lip area is too delicate for this process.

Anonymous said...

hi..
so its been a year since you had your IPL in bella..so hows it is?
it the hair lesser?
and how is the hair growth?

iamthewitch said...

Hi, yes it's more than a year since my first treatment. In fact, I've completed my 5 times treatment and now I'm going for the complimentary touch-up session every 2 months. I have to say I'm completely satisfied with the results! I haven't had to pluck or shave my underarms for the past one year. :) And now, the regrowth rate is so slow it's almost unnoticeable :) I don't even need to worry about anything when I wear sleeveless anymore. :) It really works!

Anonymous said...

Hi..thanks for the reply..its really helped me a lot as I was browsing about IPL under Bella Skin Care.
I already enrolled to Bella IPL treatment and I already done my 2nd treatment.
As far as I can see the hair is lesser and the growth is slower than before.
it is a relief to hear that after one year the treatment still work and satisfied with the result

Anonymous said...

hi,

the touch up is also included in the package or you need to pay extra for it???
and why do we need touch up somemore???

Anonymous said...

Hi there, i jus started with my first treatment for lower legs. but it makes me worried when the consultants gave me different advice as to the schedule for my next treatment. i was first told by the consultant tat my next treatment would be 4 weeks afetr the first treatment but another advised 6 weeks later. i was confused and worried bout the outcome due to the timing. may i know how long u waited before u proceed to the 2nd treatment? thanks

iamthewitch said...

Anonymous @ April 16: The touch up is included in the package if you sign up for 5 times. It's basically like a warranty, so that you can be sure that there is no regrowth within one year after you finish the treatment. :)

Anonymous @ Aug 19: Actually, you don't need to be worried with that. The theory is, they want your hair to regrow first before they do a treatment. Most of the time, hair takes about 1.5 to 2 months to regrow. So I think following 6 weeks is better. The light works on the melanin in your skin, which is basically coming from your hair. So if your hair is not grown yet, then the light is not fully absorbed and your treatment might not be that efficient. Don't worry too much ya :)

hello,
wah thanks a lot for your infos on bella hair removal system.
I already have an appointment for hair removal on bikini line tomorrow. I really hope it works and won't be painful, itchy or redness or bumpyness or thicker hair growth or rough hair growth or any kind of problems that shaving or waxing has (never shave or wax this area but i do wax my arms and shave my legs, so im really gambling by taking this depilux and i really2 hope it will work on me)... *hope* finger crossed.
if you have anything at all can you share with us? (complain or anything) from your exeperience on hair removal.
Thankz a lotttt :)

iamthewitch said...

littlegirl, good for you! Don't worry, I'm sure this is the right decision! It has been 2 years since I wrote this post and I must say I'm hair-free on my underarm area! Bella did a great job, really. :) The process was a little painful (during the hot flashes), but it won't be more than 1 minute per side. It will be over very soon! :)

Hi
Great to know your outcome.
I'll be going for 1st trial rm129 + free whitening. The package is really expansive around RM3k.
Will they ask you to buy any stuff ?

Anonymous said...

Btw, i'm going to AvenueK outlet, for the treatment, will it be ok?

iamthewitch said...

Anon: During my treatment visits, they didn't ask me to buy anything except for this aloe vera cream which is meant to cool and soothe your skin after the treatment. But I didn't buy it. :) After that, they didn't ask me to buy any other things. :)

Anonymous said...

After visited the 1st trial of removal hair, they recommended 2 options either take 5 times@rm2650 or 3 times @rm1200.Due to Bella does not have branch in my state, I need to travel to KL. Anyone have done 3 times package ? How is the outcome ?...tq
